How You Can Take Action

Yeah, sure… We’re all sad that Polaroid has discontinued their wonderful instant film…

But why just lay down and take it! Stand up! Take action! Let the world (and a few film companies) know that we are here, our money is green, and we need instant film!

The Action Pack1. Get the Action Pack

Save Polaroid cohort Trask has put together an awesome printable packet containing pre-written and addressed postcards you can mail to Polaroid, Fuji and Ilford, telling them why instant film should be saved. The pack also contains a flyer to put up in camera shops, film labs or anywhere else and a stencil template for those who are more adventurous.

2. Fill Out the Survey

Help us add some ammo to our arsenal. Tell us what films and cameras you use by taking our survey. We’ll use this information to better understand the market and guide us in our efforts to convince another company to manufacture some of the films that are being lost.

The survey is just 19 questions and requires no login.

3. Write to the Film Companies!

We’ve scoured the web and dug deep to find actual mailing addresses and email contacts at the film companies that could (with a bit of nudging from us) pick up the ball from Polaroid.

4. Sign the Petitions

To the right, you’ll see links to the various online petitions we’ve found. Add your name to the list and help us show another film company that we’re here and ready to spend our bucks on instant film.

5. Shoot!

That’s right! “Waste” film like there’s no tomorrow! There’s no better way to remind everybody out there about the pure joy of Polaroid images than putting your digital on the shelf and rocking your SX-70 on the street, at birthday parties, family gatherings, or anywhere else you like to shoot.

If you have a great idea for a project or other occasion – contact us. We’re collecting the best ideas for a future section of this website.
